The kids or grandkids might leave toys in the hallway which makes it easy to trip over them since we can't see them in a dark hallway. Letting more natural light into your hallways not only makes them more welcoming when you have guests over, it also means that you'll be able to see the toys ahead of time so you don't accidentally trip over them.
Natural light is naturally better.
We keep going to switch off the light before realising that it is all natural light.

Lighten up your kitchen while you cook up a storm
When Kiwis cook up a storm for their families it's usually for a social occasion. Food brings us together. But, no one wants to have to turn the lights on at 4'o'clock in the afternoon just so you can see your guests. Letting more natural, beautiful light into your kitchen makes social occasions naturally better.
Rooms that are made for living.
Whether you call it a living room, a family room, or a lounge, these important spaces are where the family gathers to spend time together. Even big rooms can be made to feel much bigger and more spacious by letting more light; bright natural light in. Feel yourself being more connected as you replace the artificial with the natural.
See how good you look before you come out of the closet
The colour of our clothes often looks different under artificial lights than they do out in the sun. Many homeowners bring more natural light into their walk in wardrobes so the wardrobe feels warmer, more welcoming and so your clothes just look better. Plus they won't be damaged by UV.
The natural light that powers itself
Most people agree that the more light you have in the bathroom, the better, whether when you're standing in front of the mirror, or just taking a shower. Light makes us feel better. But artificial light can make colours look different than when you step outside, making clothes matching and applying makeup difficult. That's why you want to let as much natural light in as possible.
The cure for small room claustrophobia
Lavatories, laundries and other small rooms are usually purely functional and are hidden away in the home. That's why they can be dark, dingy and generally unpleasant to be in. Make them feel just as good as the rest of the house by letting more pure natural light in. It's guaranteed to make doing your daily washing that much better.
What people are saying about our Daylighting:
You installed one of these for us in Pukekohe, would have to say at last I have found a product that’s exceeded my expectation in performance by a long way! The way its lightened up the kitchen is fantastic, totally changes the kitchen area in a positive way and would certainly add the value back into the property.

We have two of these and they would be one of the best products that we have installed in our home.

How we get more light into your home
Solatube Daylighting
Get clean natural light in parts of your home where you couldn't before
Flexible and low cost
Quick to install, within half a day
This system is perhaps the most advanced system in the world that takes light from your roof and brings it into your home.
The dome on the top of the Solatube, which you see in the image, has been designed to only collect soft sun light, while rejecting the harsher midday sun. This means that your rooms will look picture perfect right throughout the day. But that is not the only miracle of Solatubes.
Thousands of Kiwis have installed a Solatube in their home. Find out why.
