Keep clutter out of space and out of mind
Thousands of Kiwis have installed our attic stairs in their home. Here's why
The ladder stays stable and won't scratch your floor
For added stability the wooden deluxe and metal ladders come installed with plastic stile ends that lie flush with the floor. These plastic stiles not only provide additional safety, as the ladder is less likely to wobble, they also go some way to protect the floor they land on.
Manufactured with the highest European quality standards
Even though they can be installed in less than half a day, these FAKRO attic stairs take quite a journey to become great assets in your home. They are manufactured in Europe with the highest quality European pine, which is known to be stronger and more durable than New Zealand pine, due to its slow and steady growth.
Keeps your rooms warm
The door hatch is fully insulated so that in Winter the heat in your home isn't sucked up into the roof space. Similarly, in Summer the heat stays in your attic, rather than seeping down into your living rooms.
The new era of attic stairs
Safety and stability for ease of use at any age
The Wooden deluxe and metal models come with a built-in hand rail on the underside of the hatch door. This gives you extra stability when you climb up the stairs, making the ladder safer and more stable. Other home owners have found this particularly useful when holding heavy or awkward size objects, giving them extra confidence to use the attic stairs on their own.
Safety in every step
If you look closely at any of the steps on these stairs, you'll notice grooves that have been carved into every step. This gives your feet and shoes extra grip on the stairs and means that it is highly unlikely that you could fall or lose your balance while using these stairs even while carrying heavy or awkward shaped objects.
Smile, knowing that nobody else knows the stairs are there.
FAKRO has taken as much care as possible to put all the mechanisms of the stairs on the inside so that they aren't noticeable from the outside – unless you know that they are there. This even goes so far as to design a metal pole to unlock and re-lock the stairs. This tiny 10mm hole is inconspicuous and people won't know that you have possessions safely stored in your roof.
